Well, clearing AIEEE 2012 is a lot more than having the knowledge base and learning how to apply it. Getting through with good ranks largely requires your ability to manage time and get through with a lot of correct answers while giving the MCQ.

The basic idea behind placing a time limit is to check your ability to solve problems under time constraints. It’s not just about how much you know, but how much you can actually do, not to mention, without any flaws.
We are in the month of November and students get worried on how they should plan their studies. A common question is on which examination we should focus more on our respective board examination or on AIEEE.
Well kids you should take these examinations TOGETHER.
A common myth is that the AIEEE paper is completely different from your board paper. But that is completely incorrect. The syllabus is almost the same except 4-5 topics. But what makes your AIEEE different, is that it tests your analytical and thinking ability. For that you need to have a strong base and for that you need to take CBSE boards seriously.
Here’s how you should schedule your exam preparation;-
- Understand all the theory in physics and chemistry
- In chemistry (Inorganic Chemistry), the NCERT book is more than sufficient. You basically have to learn the facts and practice all the questions given at the end of the chapter. 90% of you questions from this section, may it be board examination or AIEEE, come from these.
- In physics do all derivations, write them again and again. Then do all the NCERT questions. If you do all this you are all set for you boards and 60% of your AIEEE.
- Keep practicing the objective questions from the books referred.
- Math is all about practice, the more you practice the better it is. In maths you need to work comparatively harder than physics or chemistry. You need to do a lot of objective questions form books like RD SHARMA (objective) to prepare well for you AIEEE.
- If you are thorough with these questions then the questions in NCERT will seem a lot easier. However, you need to learn how to present your answers for board examinations.
Here’s what you should do in the coming months
- Try to finish all the theory of physics and chemistry plus do all the questions from the Math NCERT book (or any other state board prescribed Book) before your pre-boards.
- Give all the school and coaching centres examinations and try to improve your performance.
- In the last part of January do all the questions of class XII syllabus. Find more about AIEEE 2013.
- In the month of February, most of the schools are closed, so you have more time for self study. Give maximum time to the XII class syllabus, however give 6-7 hours each for PCM for class XI per week.
- It is expected that you are through with the syllabus of class XI as you have already studied it the previous year. But 75% of the students are not. So study about all the topics in time you will devote for Class XI study. However DONOT solve any numerical or an objective question of class XI.
- You should practice questions of class XII syllabus only including the previous year questions, but make sure by the end of February your class XII is completely done and dusted both for board examinations as well as AIEEE.
- In the month of March, focus all your attention on board examinations only. No need to worry about AIEEE, and if you follow the above mentioned tips you will perform exceptionally well in your BOARDS.
- After your board exams are over, start doing all the objective questions of class XI. Do as many questions as you can. In the weekends go for previous year questions of both the classes.
- One week before THE AIEEE, do all the previous year papers both IIT-JEE and AIEEE. Check your answers and monitor your performance and make you sure you get better results
- One day before the AIEEE, well frankly you have done all the hard work, don’t study at all , I repeat don’t study at all and JUST CHILL.
